This park is a photographer’s paradise, with giant baobab trees dotting the bush savannah alongside seasonal marshes. Prepare to be captivated by the diverse wildlife – Tarangire is renowned for offering some of the closest elephant sightings in Africa. Buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests graze the plains, attracting a range of predators like lions. While leopards are occasionally spotted, cheetahs are a rarer sight. Enjoy game viewing from the open roof of your safari vehicle, soaking in the breathtaking scenery and observing the animals in their natural habitat. As evening descends, continue to Tarangire Angata Tented Camp for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 2Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park

Fuel up with an early morning breakfast before departing Tarangire National Park. With a packed lunch in tow, you’ll journey to Lake Manyara National Park, a haven for birdwatchers with over 400 recorded species. Explore the park’s diverse landscapes, from primate-filled forests to grassy plains. Upon arrival, embark on a game drive, venturing into the vast expanse of Lake Manyara, a seasonal breeding ground for countless flamingos and other waterfowl. Keep an eye out for giraffes, hippos, wildebeests, impalas, and boisterous troops of monkeys and baboons, with Lake Manyara boasting some of Africa’s largest baboon populations. After a thrilling day of exploration, unwind with dinner and a restful overnight stay at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge.

Day 3Lake Manyara Area – Serengeti National Park

After an early morning breakfast, check out with packed lunch and embark on a scenic drive via the cooler highlands towards the southern Serengeti, approximately a 3-hour journey. Upon reaching the plains of the Serengeti National Park, ample time is allocated for a thrilling game drive. Renowned as Tanzania’s largest park, the Serengeti boasts diverse habitats and landscapes including short grass plains, savannah, thick bush, swamps, and lakes. The grassy landscape is punctuated by peculiar rock formations known as kopjes, often frequented by predators. The Serengeti is celebrated for its annual migration, where hundreds of thousands of wildebeests and zebras traverse to seek fresh grass and water. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at Serengeti Sound of Silence Camp, Serengeti Sound of Nature Camp, or Serengeti Little Moru Camp.

On your forth day, you’ll have an early breakfast at the lodge, pack a lunch, and then check out for a full day game drive through the Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s finest. The park is teeming with wildlife year-round, from massive buffalo herds and smaller groups of elephants to millions of antelopes like elands, topi, impalas, kongoni, and Grant’s gazelles. You might even spot all three big cats: lions lazing after a kill or resting, cheetahs sprinting across the southeastern plains, and leopards perched in the trees along the riverbank. After the thrilling adventure, you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at either the Serengeti Sound of Silence Camp, the Serengeti Sound of Nature Camp, or the Serengeti Little Moru Camp.
