Itinerary

Day 1Nairobi – Lake Nakuru

Embark on your journey from your Nairobi hotel or Airport bright and early in the morning, setting course for Lake Nakuru, a scenic 3-hour drive away. As you traverse the Great Rift Valley, marvel at its breathtaking scenery and catch glimpses of the stunning Lake Naivasha. Opt for an additional experience (at extra cost) with a Boat ride plus Walking safari in Naivasha. Upon arrival, enjoy a brief en-route game drive before proceeding to Sarova Lion Hill Lodge for check-in and a hearty lunch. Later, embark on an afternoon game drive around the Pink Lake, once teeming with flamingos, though now fewer in number due to climate change and high water levels. Nevertheless, the park boasts a diverse array of wildlife, including the iconic white and black rhinos. Conclude your day with a sumptuous dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.

Day 2Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara

Indulge in an early morning breakfast before embarking on your journey from Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara, a scenic 5-hour drive away. As you traverse the route, you’ll pass through the renowned Masai town of Narok. Arriving in Masai Mara in time for lunch, you’ll check in at Ashnil Mara Camp, Sarova Mara Game Camp, or Mara Serena Safari Lodge. After a satisfying meal, set out on an afternoon game drive through the park, eagerly seeking out the iconic members of the Big Five – the Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo, and more. As the day draws to a close, return to your chosen accommodation for a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay in the heart of Masai Mara.

Day 3Masai Mara two game drives plus full day

Embark on an exhilarating early morning game drive at 6:00 am, exploring the vast expanses of Masai Mara as the day begins. After the adventure, return to camp for a hearty breakfast. Following breakfast, dedicate the entire day to exploring the park’s diverse ecosystem with a packed lunch in tow. Masai Mara’s plains teem with life, from the iconic wildebeest during migration season to zebras, impalas, giraffes, and Thomson’s gazelles. Keep a keen eye out for leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, and bat-eared foxes, while black rhinos may shyly reveal themselves from afar. Day 4Masai Mara – Serengeti

After breakfast, complete your check-out process and collect your packed lunch from the camp. Then, embark on a scenic 3-hour journey to the Isebania Tanzania border, arriving around 10:45 am. Expect the visa processing and crossing to Tanzania to take approximately 45 minutes or more. Once through the border, continue your journey to Serengeti, a captivating 3-hour drive to the Main gate. Accompanied by our knowledgeable Tanzania driver guide, enjoy an en-route game drive in Serengeti, marveling at the diverse wildlife along the way. Upon arrival, settle into your chosen accommodation at Serengeti Sound of Silence Camp, Serengeti Sound of Nature Camp, or Serengeti Little Moru Camp. Indulge in a delicious dinner and unwind for the night, surrounded by the serene beauty of the Serengeti wilderness.

Day 5Serengeti Full day

Commence your day with a satisfying breakfast at your lodge, fueling up for an exciting day ahead. Following breakfast, complete your check-out process and ensure you have your packed lunch ready for the journey. Embark on a full-day game drive in the remarkable Serengeti National Park, renowned as one of Tanzania’s premier wildlife destinations. Embark on a scenic drive to Ngorongoro, which takes approximately three hours to reach the main gate of this remarkable natural wonder. Ngorongoro Crater, a vast volcanic caldera, boasts an extraordinary ecosystem that supports a diverse array of wildlife, including lions, rhinos, and various other species. The crater, with its impressive depth of 600 meters and a diameter of 20 kilometers, is teeming with life, featuring lush ponds and pools that enhance its ecological richness. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and often hailed as the “8th wonder of the world,” Ngorongoro Crater offers a captivating glimpse into the natural world’s splendor. Day 7Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara

Start your day with an early morning breakfast, energizing yourself for the adventures ahead. After breakfast, complete your check-out procedures and ensure your packed lunch is prepared for the journey. Embark on a drive to Mto Wa Mbu, renowned as a unique area in Tanzania where people from all 120 tribes coexist harmoniously, creating a vibrant cultural tapestry. This cultural melting pot offers a fascinating insight into Tanzania’s diverse heritage. Following your time in Mto Wa Mbu, continue your journey to Lake Manyara, a haven of rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes. The park is home to a plethora of wildlife, including a large population of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impalas, waterbucks, and warthogs. Look out for the elusive Kik’s dik dik and Klipspringer along the escarpment’s rugged terrain. Leopards can be found nestled within the dense forests and escarpments, while the park’s renowned tree-climbing lions showcase their unique behavior. Although the tree-climbing phenomenon is not as prevalent as before, the park’s abundant wildlife remains a highlight for visitors. Day 8Lake Manyara – Kenya Amboseli

Begin your day with an early morning breakfast, preparing you for the adventures ahead. Following breakfast, complete your check-out procedures and ensure your packed lunch is ready for the journey. Embark on a scenic drive to the Kenya border at Namanga, a picturesque route that takes approximately four hours. Upon reaching the border around noon, allocate around 45 minutes for visa processing and crossing into Kenya. After a satisfying lunch, continue your expedition to Amboseli National Park, celebrated for its stunning scenery featuring the majestic snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro as its backdrop, towering over the expansive plains. Upon arrival, engage in an afternoon game drive to explore the park’s abundant wildlife and captivating landscapes. Later, make your way to your chosen lodge for a delightful dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at either OlTukai Lodge or Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 9Amboseli – Nairobi

Start your day with an early morning game drive at 06:15 am, allowing you to experience the park’s wildlife at its most active. After this exciting excursion, return to your lodge for breakfast. Post-breakfast, check out and embark on another game drive, including a visit to Observation Hill, formerly known as Poachers Hill. This central park attraction offers a unique 360-degree panoramic view of the entire park. Around 13:00 hrs, begin your drive back to Nairobi, enjoying lunch along the way. You will arrive in Nairobi around 5 pm, with a drop-off at Nairobi Airport or another location as per your request.
