Itinerary

Day 1Nairobi – Lake Nakuru

Early in the morning, you’ll be picked up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport and driven to Lake Nakuru, a three-hour drive. Along the way, you’ll pass through the Great Rift Valley, enjoying scenic views of the escarpment and Lake Naivasha, with an optional boat ride and walking safari at an extra cost. Upon arrival, you’ll have a short en-route game drive before proceeding to The Cliff luxury camp for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll embark on a game drive across the Pink Lake, named for its masses of flamingos, though only a few thousand remain due to climate change and high water levels. You’ll also see a variety of wildlife, including the famous white and black rhinos found in this park. Dinner and overnight will be at The Cliff luxury camp.

Day 2Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara

After an early morning breakfast, you will leave Lake Nakuru and embark on a five-hour drive to the Masai Mara, passing through the famous Masai town of Narok. Upon arrival, you will check in at either Entim Luxury Camp or Ilkeliani Luxury Camp just in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a game drive through the park, searching for lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffalos, and other members of the Big Five, along with various other animals. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Entim Luxury Camp or Ilkeliani Luxury Camp.

Day 3Masai Mara (2) Two game drives

At 6:15 am, you’ll embark on an early morning game drive with a packed breakfast to enjoy in the bush, returning to your camp around 11 am to rest before the afternoon game drive in search of the Masai Mara’s popular residents; during the migration season from early July to the end of September, the plains are filled with wildebeest, zebra, impala, topi, giraffe, and Thomson’s gazelle, with regular sightings of leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, and bat-eared foxes, while black rhinos, though shy, can often be seen from a distance, and hippos and large Nile crocodiles are abundant in the Mara River, making it an ideal spot for a ranger-guided walk to view these creatures, with meals and an overnight stay at Entim Luxury Camp or Ilkeliani Luxury Camp.

Day 4Masai Mara full day - (2) two game drives

At 6:15 am, you’ll embark on an early morning game drive with a packed breakfast to enjoy in the bush, returning to your camp around 11 am to rest before the afternoon game drive in search of the Masai Mara’s popular residents, including wildebeest (during the migration season from early July to the end of September), zebra, impala, topi, giraffe, Thomson’s gazelle, leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, and bat-eared foxes, with black rhinos occasionally seen from a distance, followed by a sundowner with snacks while enjoying the African sunset, and concluding with meals and an overnight stay at Entim Luxury Camp or Ilkeliani Luxury Camp.

Day 5Masai Mara – Nairobi

After an early morning breakfast at your camp, you’ll check out and embark on an en-route game drive at 10:00 am, followed by a five-hour drive to Nairobi, arriving in time for lunch at The Carnivore Restaurant, and then be dropped off at your respective hotel or the airport around 3 to 4 pm.
