The Madaraka Express SGR train operates daily trips between Nairobi and Mombasa with three departures from each city:
Inter-County Train: This departs both Nairobi and Mombasa Termini simultaneously at 8:00 am. This service makes scheduled stops at various stations along the way, including Mariakani, Miasenyi, Voi, Mtito Andei, Kibwezi, Emali, and Athi River. You can expect to arrive in Mombasa around 2:10 pm.
Afternoon Express Train: This departs Nairobi and Mombasa Termini simultaneously at 3:00 pm. It includes a single stop at Voi station. You can expect to arrive in Mombasa around 8:18 pm.
Night Train: This departs Nairobi and Mombasa Termini simultaneously at 10:00 pm. This is the fastest option as it’s a non-stop service, allowing you to reach your destination in Mombasa by 3:35 am.
