“PHENOMENAL SAFARI WITH KETS!!”

We became acquainted with Kenya Expresso Tours and Safaris (KETS) 1 ½ years ago when we began looking for a 1 day safari in Kenya. Originally, we were only going to spend 1 day in Kenya before flying to Rwanda to trek after the mountain gorillas.

As we researched KETS 1 day safaris, we became captivated with them. They offered a variety of 1 day safaris, their price was unbelievably great, and they had phenomenal reviews on TripAdvisor. Also, we would be the only people on their 1 day safaris with our own private driver/guide. It soon became apparent to us, that we wanted to spend more than 1 day on the traditional safari offered by KETS. We wanted to see so much more since we were flying all the way to Kenya from Chicago. We wanted to have the best possible chance to see the Big 5, and to see the Great Migration of the wildebeast, and their river crossing. So, we emailed Paul, the tour consultant of KETS, and asked his advice. Paul answered all of our emails within 24 hours, and was very helpful in helping us customize an itinerary.

Paul recommended visiting Kenya in September. This would give us the best chance of observing the Big 5 and the migration. He also recommended visiting Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, and the Masai Mara. Paul must be a phenomenal prognostigator!!! We followed his recommendations and were able to see the Big 5 and the wildebeasts crossing the Mara River during their migration.

We were awed, astounded, amazed, and just overwhelmed with the beauty and wildness of Amboseli, Masai Mara, and Lake Nakura. Our accomodations were spacious and restful, with satisfying meals, mostly served buffet style. Dishes included familiar foods as well as a few native dishes. All these appetizing dishes were offered in delicious large quantities.

Due to the expertise planning of Kenya Expresso Tours and Safaris, we experienced the unparalleled wilderness of this fascinating country and had the privilege of being escorted by Philip, a very able driver and knowledgeable guide. My husband and I were the only visitors in the roomy Toyota Land Cruiser, and we found Philip to be a reliable driver and a bold, intelligent guide who often surprised us with unexpected sightings. He found the big 5 for us to observe and photograph during the first 26 hours of our visit, including both the black and white rhinos! Philip would position the vehicle as close as possible to the animals so that we had the best possible views and locations for our photos. He took us to an excellent vantage point overlooking the Mara River to watch the wildebeasts cross. After one hour of waiting unsuccessfully for the wildebeasts to cross, we left to explore other areas. Shortly, we came across a pride of lions, and stopped to observe and photograph them. After several minutes, the male started to court one of the females, and then started to mate with her right in front of us!! While watching the lions mate, Philip heard on his radio that the wildebeasts started to cross the river. So, he told us to buckle-up, turned the Land Cruiser around, and put the pedal to the metal. He got us to the river safely in time to watch the wildebeasts!!! All of our wishes for our Kenya safari had come to fruition. Unbelievable!!! We could not have wished for a better experience than the one we had with KETS, Paul, and Philip.

Paul even assisted us when the airlines lost our luggage, and he was instrumental in tracking down our bags when we had no luck in finding them.

“The incredible Masai Mara!”

Duncan was a great driver and very informative about the Masai Mara and Kenya overall. Paul was very helpful also with getting me in country. A once in a lifetime experience. Saw the “Big 5” the first afternoon. I would highly recommend booking with KETS.

“The best tour operator in Kenya”

I would say KET is the best tour operator in Kenya. They made our Safari successful with their best professional and friendly approach. They placed our comfort before profit and provided services that must have severely limited their profit. Their driver, the vehicle, the hotels and resorts that they provided in the package was worth more than what I paid. Driver Francis is finest drivers on Kenyan roads and in game parks. His knowledge and understanding of wildlife and nature around helps one enjoy the safari and see all that is there on offer. His patience and friendliness is non-comparable. I highly recommend KET to anyone going to Kenya for a short or long tour. I am sure Paul will offer you what ever you want and at a cost you can not beat. Dr Arun Patel, UK.

“Simply the best! thanks george and paul”

Paul replied to our mails immediately,and gave us a lot of advice in order to complete the planification of our tour.

The payment was done partially by bank and the rest directly to the driver Georg. He is kind, professional trustful,tireless and careful .We land at 3.am and he pick us up soon. The accomodations were amazing, over my expectation. The safaris( we did masai mara, naguru, kilimangiaro)were beautiful, Georg during the driving , informed us regarding enviroment and culture in Kenia,he is competent and permit us to photograph various species of animals.We followed the program, but Georg was always available to satisfy our requests.nevertheless the long distance in order to arrive in the different places, georg seemed tireless, and we felt always safe. At the end of the safari, we spent 4 additional days along the sea… but immediately we contacted again Paul to organize for us also some excursions there, georg was our driver and we met a sailer that spend with us the day in wasini marine park. The kenia expresso tour has a good local network, so your holiday is in good safe hands and doesn t lose the autenticity of the place .

I strongly recommend this serious organization.

“Fantastic safari, great company, brilliant guide”

Booked a 4 night 5 day safari with kets safaris in 2013 but had to cancel due to illness. Paul Mwenda, kets boss, was very kind and kept my deposit open until I was better.

We left Nairobi with our driver/ guide Duncan and headed for 2 nights at Amboseli, 1 night Tsavo West, 1 night Tsavo East then dropped off at our beach hotel. Duncan was perfect, very knowledgeable, laid back and polite. Game drives were memorable sighting more animals than I can remember, highlights were Leopard, Lions, Cheetahs and surprisingly a family of hyenas. I would very happily recommend Kets safaris, and would like to thank them for all their help.

Safe trip with Kenya expresso image description

Me and my husband had a very pleasant trip in Kenya in September. Paul was very helpful to manage our trip. He answered to all our question in a short time. Kenya is beautiful. We had a very nice guide, our “big baboon” Lucky! He did all to make us feel safe and he always try to satisfy our request. Just a regret…we could not to see the leopard, but we saw lions, cheetah and a lot of beautiful and savage animals! We will never forget Lucky! All the Hotels was perfectly inserted to the African nature and very comfortable. Thank you for all!

“Experienced guide delivered safari experience that exceeded all expectations”

Paul from KETS was very responsive and helpful answering our many queries when we made and changed our arrangements for a three-day safari to Masai Mara Park in February 2015. As promised Jackson arrived on time to collect us from the hotel in Nairobi at the start of our trip.

We were offered the choice of a minivan or the slightly more expensive, and more comfortable land cruiser. I would recommend the land cruiser because you definitely don’t want to be less comfortable than that. The terrain for the last two hours of the drive to Masai Mara and on the safari is bumpy, and as the vehicle negotiates ditches and dips you can get a slightly rough ride at times.

Jackson worked hard from the time he picked us up. He asked each of us what we wanted to see, and managed our expectations by making it clear that we probably wouldn’t see all of the animals we listed over the three days. The whole time we were on safari Jackson was in touch with other guides via radio, finding out where there had been sightings of the animals we wanted to see. There were several other trucks out the first day, and it seemed they were all taking the lead from Jackson, moving in, getting a better angle and moving off when he did. He kept finding us a better view by driving around a bush that was obscuring the animal. The first day we saw a lioness, a cheetah, giraffes, elephants and zebras, giselles, and lots more besides. The second day we went out from 7.30-4pm to cover more of the park and we saw so much more, and this time we were alone much of the time – no other safari trucks so it felt more intimate and special. We saw hippopotamus, wild boar, rhinoceros, eland, buffalo, crocodile, more giraffes, zebras, lots of baby animals and many of them up close. The highlight for me was the lion and lioness hanging out together under a tree, and a little later a cheetah with her three cubs. I understand some people have been on much longer safaris and not seen lions! It was amazing. Because of Jackson’s 15 years of experience and conscientious hard work the safari exceeded my expectations by far.

“A great safari”

My friends and I went on a 3-day Maasai Mara safari with KET in February 2015. It was not the cheapest option, but it was well organised and enjoyable. The manager, Paul, was very responsive in accommodating our schedule and requirements. Our guide and driver, Jackson, was going out of his way to make our experience unforgettable. We stayed at Sarova Camp, which was wonderful.

“Best Family Safari”

We are a family of 4, two kids of 4& 3 years. My brother and sister in law were traveling with us. We had a 6 day safari ( March 2015) in Amboseli, Lake Nakuru and Massai Mara. Paul the manager was very helpful and arranged everything giving us different options to choose from and answering all our queries very fast and clear. At the end the accommodations he picked for us were great.Very niece rooms,beds and good food.

We picked a Land cruiser which was perfect for our family. Tony the driver and guide was very respectful, kind and niece with the kids. He made our safari the best experience ever, the drives between parks were very long but he helped us with everything we needed so it was very comfortable.While gaming Tony did not rest until he found all the animals we wanted to see and much more!!! Our last wish was to see a Hienna and he found it for us. We saw all the animals in different situations!!! It was one of the best experiences we have had in our lives. If you go with this company you will only regret that you couldn´t stay more days!!!

Thank you Tony and Paul everything was perfect!!!
